Design Draftsman. We are looking for a Design Draftsman for a dynamic engineering company based in Bristol paying c£25kpa. Title: Design Draftsman. Location: Bristol. Salary: £25kpa neg on experience. Skills. • Experience of modelling parts and assemblies in a 3D CAD package – preferably Autodesk Inventor. • Able to produce detailed drawings meeting industry standards ready for manufacture (e.g. good knowledge of machining & welding drawing standards and applying appropriate manufacturing tolerances). • Would be desirable for applicant to be able to produce electrical and pipework schematics, loom diagrams and create parts lists. • Some practical skills and experience of working on mechanical systems. • Formal engineering qualification required; such as HNC. • Ideally candidate would have completed an Engineering Apprenticeship. Duties. The Design Draftsman will undertake and support mechanical design activities and produce detailed drawings ready for manufacture. This is a challenging role within a rapidly evolving environment. You must have a flexible approach to work and be willing to undertake occasional site work.
